1st day of CNY

This year is the 1st year both of us are not home for CNY, the last time it was when we were both students here and I missed 2 years while Mike missed a year coz he was with me during my 1st year in uni...feel a bit off coz there is no atmosphere here for celebration...called grandpa's place last night to wish everyone a Happy New Year...everyone was there and it was pretty noisy, glad to hear everyone is alright and enjoying themselves. Mum cooked her usual dessert - almond jelly with longans which is an absolutely hit every time we have a family gathering..of coz not to mention the hard work and effort Mum and her sistas put in for a good and enjoyable reunion dinner.

Some of our frens are also not back home to celebrate CNY coz most of us are working here now, others are becoz uni is starting soon or becoz this year is the graduating year and they want to save money to travel around Australia after graduation. Looking forward to our gathering the next weekend (this weekend looks like many of us are busy with other things) so keeping fingers crossed that everyone can make it...its been a while since we last saw each other...

On another note..a dear gerfren of mine sms me CNY greetings..so sweet of her...dun worry the phone alert didn't wake me up...hahaha! I was so tired from last nite's dinner gathering so am still tired now...so no mood to work today...we should have holidays here man...kekeke (wish long long lah)
